 TOILET INSTALLATION ATLANTA

We are just wrapping up second work order of  the day for toilet installation. Because Southstar is an Atlanta handyman services provider in the metro area, we receive all types of requests.

Most of our calls deal with home repair and maintenance and home improvement. Replacing a toilet can actually fall into more than one category. It’s a given that people replace toilets when they have exceeded their useful life. But just as often property owners chose to install new toilets because they have grown tired of the way the old commode looks and feels.

In Atlanta, homes are constantly being purchased and sold. And for many sellers, replacing a toilet is noninvasive way to upgrade the overall look of a bathroom. And on the other end of the spectrum, homebuyers that purchase a home that is not brand new often want to replace all the toilets in the home as part of their own fresh start.

Its also not uncommon for homeowners to replace toilets in new homes if the toilets selected by the builder don’t end up ultimately suiting the needs of the new homeowner.

We also frequently replace toilets in homes of longtime homeowners that just want a taller toilet. As we get older our knees and hips dont work nearly as good as they did when we were younger. A taller toilet is one way to relieve some discomfort.

Standard Height vs Comfort Height

New toilets come in basically two height options. The standard height toilet is around 15 inches tall. The comfort height toilet is typically between 17 and 19 inches tall. These taller toilets used to be commonly referred to as ADA toilets or handicapped toilets, since the original reason why they were made was for compliance with handicap accessible bathrooms for commercial buildings. In recent years these toilets have become much more widely available and alot more popular.

But the tall toilets are not for everyone. For those who are shorter in stature, the standard height toilet may be more comfortable for you regardless of the current trend.

And of course we can forget about rental properties. Water leaks and waster  is one of the things that can cost landlords lots of lost revenue over time. Sometimes its actually more cost effective for a landlord to replace an existing toilet than to repair it. This is especially true if the toilet is constantly having to be repaired, or its on its last leg.

While some property owners are very specific about the type of toilet they prefer, others are less concerned with toilet shopping. If you are not a commode connoisseur and you just need a new toilet that works as it should, be sure to ask about our turnkey toilet replacement service available in Atlanta.

If you are considering replacing your toilet, you should also take a close look at your bathroom faucet, as this would be a great time to replace it as well, if you are in need of a new for either functional or cosmetic reasons. We DON’T judge.

And don't forget that we are a handyman service provider, and we would love to tackle your home repairs and improvements list for around the home or office.
