Atlanta Kitchen RemodelingWhen most people think of an Atlanta kitchen remodeling project, the first idea that come to mind are granite countertops and rich colored cabinets. This is normal, in this market these are features that many have come to expect in homes of a certain price point and location. However, there are other factors that must be considered when performing a kitchen remodel. Before we can begin installing beautiful cabinets and countertops and the like, we must first insure that the flooring system in the kitchen area is sound and level. This will help to insure that the base cabinets have a firm source of support from underneath. Whether you will be installing, tile, wood flooring, or a laminate product, the more level the floors are the easier it will be to install your new floors. Another consideration for the Atlanta kitchen remodeling project is the location and condition of the existing plumbing supply and drain lines.
If the layout of the kitchen is changing or expanding, alterations will have to be made to the existing plumbing to accommodate the new design. The next element that must be taken into account is electrical wiring. Will the kitchen remodel incorporate additional lighting? Can lights, under cabinet lights, perhaps a chandelier, or maybe all three. These consideration must be taken into account during the planning stage so that the can be addressed in order as the kitchen remodeling project begins. It becomes increasing difficult to make many of these changes once the optimal time has passed.
The heating and cooling system must also be taken into account. Will you be adding a vented range hood? Or will your new design require that the heating and air ducts be moved from their current locations to accommodate the new remodeled kitchen design? Once all of these basic elements have been addressed, now we can begin the installation of the elements that homeowners love so much: cabinets, countertops, sinks, backsplashes, stainles steel appliances and more.
